What is it?+
For those hiring a domestic worker, the employment contract may be terminated through the termination procedure.
Who is it aimed at?+
The termination procedure is available for domestic employers.
How does it work?+
From 29 January 2009, communication of termination must be submitted to INPS within five days of the event. The communication is also effective in regard to the competent services, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies, INAIL, and the prefecture of the Government’s territorial office.
The user should notify INPS of the termination online by using the dedicated service.
It can alternatively be done by:
phoning the Contact Centre on +39 803 164 (free from Italian landlines) or +39 06 164 164 from mobile phones; telematic services offered by patronage institutes and intermediaries of INPS.
Processing times of the decision +
The ordinary time limit for issuing measures is set by Law No. 241/1990 at 30 days. In some cases the law may set different deadlines.
The table shows the deadlines exceeding 30 days, established by the Institute by means of Regulations.
In addition to the deadlines for issuing the measure, the table also indicates the person responsible for it.
