How to claim settlement of the IPOST New Mutuality Fund

The New Mutuality Fund, active from 2010, replaces the “Rest Fund” and “Life Fund”, which will be managed until the current registrations are exhausted. Those registered with the New Mutuality Fund may claim the capital settlement if certain requirements are met.

To the policy holder and, in the event of the holder’s premature death, to the legitimate heirs or beneficiaries as designated in the policy.

What am I entitled to?

The subscribed capital is paid in full to the legal heirs or to the beneficiary specified in the policy, in the event of the holder’s premature death, or to the holder, in a share equal to the redeemed value calculated on the paid insurance premium.

Requirements

The holder or, in the event of their premature death, the heirs or beneficiaries indicated in the policy, may access the settlement provided that at least 12 premium shares have been paid for one year of registration.

When can I claim?

Except during the year of enrolment, the holder can always apply to resign from the New Fund by completing the settlement claim(s) form. Resignation shall take effect from 01 January of the year following that in which the claim(s)was submitted.

The settlement claim may be submitted through the settlement claim form or to INPS online by using the dedicated service.
