Holders of an INPS pension or social security benefit, holders of the RAI subscription, with a pension income of less than €18,000 in the year preceding the claim.

The fee must be paid only once regardless of the number of television sets in your home.
Payment deductions take place directly on the pension starting from January following the submission of the claim.
Taking into account that starting from 1 January 2016, according to the provisions of Article 1, paragraphs 152 and following, Law No. 208 of 28 December 2015, the fee must be paid by debit on the invoice for electricity supply users, the option to pay in instalments on a pension is an alternative to charging the fee on the electricity supply bill.

The claim can be submitted online to INPS through the dedicated service by 15 November of the year preceding the payment of the RAI fee.

Alternatively, claims can be made by:

• phoning the contact centre on +39 803 164 (free from Italian landlines) or +39 06 164 164 from mobile phones;
• Online services offered by patronage institutes and intermediaries thereof.
