Cancellation of self-employed agricultural workers

Publication: 09/03/2022

Self-employed and/or associated agricultural workers who carry out an activity aimed at the cultivation of land, forestry or the breeding of animals and other related activities may claim cancellation from the agricultural pension scheme for termination of activities.

Independent farmers, professional farmers and associated farm workers may claim cancellation.

The cancellation claim shall be presented online by using the “ComUnica” Single Notice service, with the forms provided, within 90 days of the termination of activity for lack of objective and subjective requirements.

The objective requirements provide that the holding management must work for at least 104 days per year, and that the small-scale Agricultural workers unit must be able to meet at least one third of the annual working requirements on its own. Subjective requirements include death, change of activity, sale of land or reduced working capacity.
