Claim a loan in the form of an advance Old Mutuality Fund and New Mutuality Fund (Mutuality Fund Scheme ex IPOST)

Based on the available funds of the Mutuality Fund Scheme, the INPS grants loans as an advance on the Fund.
The loan can be claimed by members (workers or pensioners) to whom disciplinary measures or provisions for resignation or withdrawal of benefits do not apply.
New Fund members can apply for the loan for:
- admission to a private clinic;
- expenses incurred for chronic illness;
- dental prostheses;
- orthodontic appliances, earphones, orthopaedic prostheses;
- limb prostheses;
- purchasing glasses and contact lenses;
- funeral expenses for spouse or dependent family member;
- expenses for serious illness of the member or spouse or a dependent family member;
- specialist visits;
- dental services (conservative surgery, endodontics, etc.);
- physiotherapy and rehabilitation following injury;
- ophthalmology (surgical operations, diagnostic investigations, etc.);
- birth of child.
Members transferring from the Old Mutuality Funds to the New Mutuality Fund can continue to apply for a loan without having to indicate a reason for this claim, as governed by the bylaws on Retirement and Life Funds.
Start date and duration
The member pays off the debt in an agreed number of monthly instalments. In case of early extinction, the sum retained as interest is reversed to the remaining instalments.
In the monthly instalment, in addition to the interest rate, a quota is calculated for the Guarantee Fund which is 0.3% for dependent workers and 0.45% for pensioners, with an overall TAEG of 5%.
What am I entitled to?
The member of the New Fund may claim an advance of a maximum gross amount of 75% of the subscribed capital. The table below shows the payment methods for advances.

Members of the Old Mutuality Fund and the New Mutuality Fund may re-claim for an advance on the fund only after at least half of the instalments of the amortisation schedule of the existing advance have been paid. The loan amortisation period is established at 12, 24, 36 or 48 monthly instalments at the claim of the interested party.
Withdrawal of benefits
In case of death of member, if the loan has not been fully repaid, the INPS deducts the residual outstanding amount from the capital to be paid to the designated beneficiaries.
In case of termination of the employment relationship, the INPS shall recover the residual debt from the capital to be settled on the provisions for pensions and social security or any other indemnity, including Severance pay for civil servants (IBU) and Severance Indemnity (TFR).
Requirements
To claim advances, members must be registered with the New Mutuality Fund or the Old Mutuality Fund.
When can I claim?
Claims can be made as early as the month in which registration with the Fund begins.
How can I claim?
Members can use the following available forms:
- advance on the New Fund;
- extinction amount of the advance on the New Fund;
- advance on Old Mutuality Funds;
- extinction amount of the advance on the Old Funds.
The claim, which must enclose a photocopy of the payment certificate and a valid identity document, can be sent by mail to the following address:
