What is it

It is a Pension Fund financed with the mandatory social security contributions of the insured workers of the Separate Pension Scheme.

Who is it aimed at

Enrolment is aimed at the following categories of para-subordinate workers:

  • holders of corporate offices such as Chairperson of the Board of Directors, directors of companies, statutory auditors and auditors of companies or public and private institutions;
  • members of boards and committees;
  • coordinated and continuous collaboration contracts (governed by Article 409 of the Italian Code of Civil Procedure);
  • door-to-door salesmen with an income exceeding €5,000;
  • non-dependent workers customs agents (from January 1998);
  • holders of research grants;
  • recipients of scholarships for attending PhD courses;
  • local administrators;
  • recipients of income from occasional self-employment exceeding €5,000 per year;
  • shareholding associates with a contribution consisting exclusively of the employment until 31 December 2015;
  • doctors with specialist training contracts;
  • occasional ancillary workers;
  • non-exclusive confirmed honorary magistrates;
  • the coordinated and continuous collaborators of the amateur sports sector.

How does it work

The claim must be submitted online to INPS, through the “Registration Claim for Para-subordinate Workers” service (Article 2, paragraph 26, of Law no. 335 of 8 August 1995).

After logging into the service with your credentials:

  • select the enrolment form for the Separate Pension Scheme;
  • fill in the required fields;
  • in the second part, select the item “collaborator or other activity”;
  • confirm enrolment and complete registration;
  • print the receipt.

Processing times of the measure

The ordinary deadline for issuing the decisions is set at 30 days under Law no. 241/1990. In some cases the law may set different deadlines.
