What is it?

The “Sportelli di Sede” - Office Counters service provides information on offices open to the public and makes it possible to:

  • write to the office;
  • book an appointment, also by telephone or video call, from Italy or abroad. To enhance and continually improve the experience for users interested in video calls, INPS has launched a trial in select offices. Watch the presentation video (in Italian), find out which offices are testing the new video call service, and download the tutorial on how to

Who is it aimed at?

The information service is aimed at all users, without requiring authentication through their credentials.

The service that allows you to write to the office can be used:

  • without authentication;
  • with authentication.

The appointment booking service, on the other hand, is reserved for users with login credentials only.

Video call consultancy services from abroad are managed by the offices identified as a centre.

During the experimental phase, those who were able to use this service were:

  • pensioners and workersresiding in the United States of America and Tunisia;
  • residents in Germany registered with DRV SCHWABEN.

 The service was then extended to other countries. The list of countries and their respective central offices is available on the page "Specialised territorial centres for pension claims under an international regime (in Italian)".

How does it work?

The information service provides for each office:

  • the address;
  • contacts, including certified email addresses (CEM);
  • the area covered by the local office remit;
  • the list of counters present;
  • the list of offices and managers;
  • the closing day for the celebration of the patron saint.

The "Write to the central office" service provides for the following methods:

  • without authentication;
  • with authentication using credentials.

In the non-authentication mode, you must indicate:

  • the tax identification code;
  • an email address;
  • a telephone number;
  • a reason for contact;
  • the subject of the request (in the case of a request for information) or the reference number of the case (in the case of a follow-up or service in progress or rejected).

In the mode with authentication it is possible to:

  • send a new claim;
  • view the list of claims sent;
  • follow-up on claims that have been pending for at least 15 days;
  • view the list of incoming communications.

Through the first-level appointment booking service, you can:

  • confirm and manage the bookings made;
  • create a new booking, selecting:
    • the preferred office location (the same displayed before authentication or a different one);
    • select the counter for which you request an in-person office appointment;
    • the date and time of the appointment, among those still available during the following two weeks;
    • the preferred method for providing the service;
    • the reason for booking.

 As an alternative to the online service, you can book an appointment at the counter through the:

  • INPS Mobile app;
  • Contact Centre;
  • primary reception service of the offices.
