How can the INPS insured worker detect inaccuracies and errors contained in the Unified Account Statement?
Publication: 22 December 2023 Latest update: 27 December 2024
What is it
The WORKERS’ VARIATION CLAIM (VARCO LAV) is the tool through which the INPS insured worker can detect the inaccuracies and errors contained in the Unified Account Statement.
Who is it aimed at
Insured workers can intervene directly in the process of updating the data in their insurance account.
How does it work
Through the Unified Account Statement, it is possible to know the size of your insurance account, in order to make an informed assessment of your social security situation.
The VARCO LAV CLAIM must be forwarded if the information document contains gaps or inaccuracies relating to contributory periods and/or taxable remuneration and in general, in all cases in which the insured worker deems that a preliminary investigation by the Institute is required.
The presence of some specific notes on the margin of a period shown on the Unified Account Statement is an indication of the critical nature of the information present in the files that feed the insurance account.
Using the appropriate functions of VARCO LAV, the insertion, modification or cancellation of a period can be claimed.
VARCO LAV claims will be evaluated by the competent INPS office, after specific investigation, including the examination of any documentation attached or requested from the insured worker.
By selecting a specific menu item, the system allows you to view the list of requests already submitted, indicating the status of the processing and, if present, the outcome.
Alternatively, the change request can be made by:
- Calling the contact centre on 803 164 (free from Italian landlines) or 06 164 164 from mobile phones.
- On-line services offered by patronage institutes and intermediaries of the Institute.
Claim
The VARCO LAV claim an be sent online to INPS by the insured worker through the dedicated service.
Processing times of the measure
The ordinary deadline for issuing the measures is set at 30 days under Law n.241/1990. In some cases the law may set different deadlines.
The table shows the deadlines exceeding thirty days, set by the Institute with a Regulation.
In addition to the terms for the issuance of the measure, the table also indicates the relevant manager.
