The service allows you to submit a claim for the accreditation of imputed contributions relating to periods of civil service, unarmed military service or alternative civilian service for workers or pensioners who have an insurance gap.

What is it?

It is the imputed contribution recognised for periods not covered by other contributions, during which the individual concerned performed:

  • unarmed military service;
  • alternative civilian service;
  • civil service.

Imputed contributions are only provided for:

  • those who began civil service by 31 December 2005;
  • those who began during 2005 and continued the activity in 2006.

Who is it aimed at?

The benefit is intended for workers or pensioners who have a gap in their insurance contributions due to having carried out civil service.

The claim may also be submitted by survivors of the insured or the deceased pensioner.

Claim

REQUIREMENTS

To obtain imputed contributions, it is necessary that:

  • the individual concerned has at least one actual contribution at the time of the claim;
  • the period requested is not covered by other contributions;
  • the period has not already been used for the recognition of:
    • state pension;
    • other substitute, exclusive or exempting pension schemes under the General Compulsory Insurance (AGO).

HOW CAN I CLAIM

The claim for imputed credit must be submitted online to the INPS using the dedicated service.

Processing times of the measure

The deadline to define the decision was set at 85 days by the Regulation for the definition of the terms to conclude the administrative proceedings adopted by INPS pursuant to Article 2 of Law no. 241/1990.

The table (in Italian) attached to the Regulation shows both the deadlines for defining the decisions established by the Institute that are longer than the normal 30-day period, and the indication of the relevant manager.
