What is it?
Each year, INPS organises a competition tender to award scholarships for:
- university degree courses;
- postgraduate specialisation courses.

Who is it aimed at?
The scholarships are intended for orphans, children (or those of equivalent status) of:
- members (employed or pensioners) enrolled on the Unified Scheme of Credit and Social Benefits;
- members enrolled in the Teachers and School Managers Assistance Scheme (Gestione Assistenza Magistrale);
- employees of the Poste Italiane Group SpA, ex IPOST employees (subject to a monthly 0.4% deduction pursuant to Law no. 208 of 27 March 1952), pensioners previously employed by the Poste Italiane Group SpA and ex IPOST.
How does it work?
Scholarships are awarded through a competition tender.

Claim
REQUIREMENTS
Students must meet the following requirements:
- being under 32 years of age at the time of the tender deadline;
- not having already received similar benefits with a value exceeding 50% of the scholarship amount, provided by:
- the Institute;
- the State;
- regional bodies for the right to university study;
- other public or private institutions.
The tender also specifies certain incompatibilities with other benefits provided by the Institute.
For undergraduate scholarships, students must meet the following additional requirements:
- not having repeated an academic year or exceeded the standard duration of the course for the academic year for which the application is made;
- having taken all exams required by the degree programme chosen and approved by the university for the relevant academic year;
- having obtained all academic credits required by the respective course regulations or degree programme for the relevant academic year;
- having achieved the minimum weighted average grade specified in the tender;
- having obtained the minimum grade specified in the tender if the degree was awarded in the same academic year.
For scholarships for postgraduate specialisation courses, students must:
- be enrolled in a postgraduate specialisation course;
- have obtained a university degree with the minimum grade required by the tender.
There is no incompatibility with grants for participation in the Erasmus project.
HOW CAN I CLAIM?
Applications must be submitted online to INPS using the “Welfare Benefits Portal” service.

The application must be submitted independently by a student of legal age who meets the requirements.
Processing times of the measure
The deadline to define the measure was set at 30 days by the Regulation for the definition of the terms to conclude the administrative proceedings adopted by INPS pursuant to Article 2 of Law 241/1990.
