What is it?
INPS provides a contribution for the enrolment at national boarding schools (“convitti” and “educandati”) and for the attendance, with full-board or half-board, at:
- a primary school;
- a lower secondary school;
- an upper secondary school.
The contribution covers the duration of the entire course of study.
For which applicants have been declared winners:
- subject to the submission of a new claim for the following school year;
- subject to compliance with the requirements within the time limits indicated.
Who is it aimed at?
The benefit is intended for students at primary school, lower secondary school and upper secondary school, who are children of:
- civil servants and civil servant pensioners registered within the Unified Scheme of credit and social benefits of INPS;
- individuals registered with the Teachers and School Managers Scheme;
- individuals registered with the Post-telegraph Scheme.
How does it work?
START DATE AND DURATION
Contributions are awarded each year with a competition tender.
From the 2024-25 school year, winners receive the contribution for the duration of the course of study for which they have been declared winners (primary school, lower secondary school or upper secondary school).
To maintain the benefit, it is necessary to:
- submit a new claim to participate in the scheme for subsequent school years;
- comply with the requirements within the time limits indicated.
Tenders and the related classifications can be found in the Welfare, Assistance and Mutuality (in Italian) section.
WHAT AM I ENTITLED TO?
The value of the payable contribution is determined as a percentage of the lowest amount between the maximum payable contribution and the cost of the annual registration fee, in relation to the ISEE value of the relevant family unit.
The Teachers and School Managers Scheme and the Post-telegraph Scheme will cover the cost, in favour of their respective registered individuals, of the contribution in its entirety, without prejudice to the limits set.
WITHDRAWAL OF BENEFIT
Students will lose the benefit if:
- the beneficiary student withdraws from his/her studies;
- there is a change in the legal position of the registered individual;
- there is a failure to comply with the fulfilments of the competition tender within the established deadlines.
Claim
REQUIREMENTS
