Publication: 1 June 2023
What is it?
The service is used to submit health and medical/legal assessment claims for civil servants.
Who is it aimed at?
The following may submit applications:
- entities;
- public administrations;
- employers, whose staff have remained enrolled in the Exclusive Pension Scheme or the Post Office Pension Fund.
How does it work?
On 1 June 2023, the Medical Verification Committees of the Ministry of Economy and Finance were abolished (Decree Law no. 73 of 21 June 2022, converted into Law no. 122 of 4 August 2022).
On the same date, the functions performed by the Committees were transferred to INPS.
Therefore, claims for health assessments of suitability, unsuitability and incapacity for work must be submitted to INPS, including those relating to:
- health checks on surviving family members, who are entitled to an indirect or reversible pension;
- the granting of fair compensation and reimbursement of hospital expenses for infirmities contracted for reasons of service, aimed at local police personnel.
Claims for medical/legal investigations must also be submitted in respect of:
- citizens who are entitled to war pension benefits:
- direct pensions;
- indirect pensions;
- reversibility;
- ancillary allowances;
- surviving family members who are entitled to reversibility of the Life Allowance granted to former deportees in the KZ Nazi extermination camps;
- surviving family members who are entitled to reversibility of the Merit Allowance granted to victims of fascist or racial political persecution;
- surviving family members who are entitled to reversibility of the Allowances associated with decorations for military valour.
Claim
Claims for health and medical/legal assessment can be submitted exclusively by electronic means, through the online service.
To access the online service, you must first claim authorisation by filling out and signing the AA14 form.
The form must then be sent to the territorially competent INPS structure, via the certified e-mail (PEC) of the employer.
